"Obviously not everything's going to be perfect and you're not going to do everything 100% right, all the time. But as long as the intentions there and the goodwills there and you put in the effort where you can and where you need to, then you'll hopefully make a difference to some people."
Episode #31 of The Hope Initiative with Amy Malander
Amy and I met back in 2006 whilst in year 9 on the netball courts at HE Parker Reserve in Heathmont during an inter school cross country.
A teacher now herself, we discuss the changes at school since we attended 10 years ago, the challenges kids face these days as well as challenges Amy herself is facing as a young adult doing her best in the world!
We also speak on Amys football exploits, as she plays in the VFLW for Collingwood after moving from soccer years ago... A wise choice? Only time will tell ;)
Amongst all of that, a key take-away for me is on being mindful and grateful for what you have each and every day. Something that is a practice of Amys.
Thanks again to Amy for taking the time! I really enjoyed the chat, I hope you do too!
Cheers :)
