Why is it that when life feels overwhelming, we so often run straight back to old habits—like reaching for food to numb the pain? The Bible tells us that trials are part of life, but they are not meant to destroy us. They are meant to refine us.
Today we’re talking about how to walk through trials without letting them drive you back into the arms of emotional eating. I’ll share stories from my own struggles and how God reminded me that trials are not a sign of His absence—they are often the very places where His power shows up most clearly.
When we reframe our trials as opportunities to trust God, we stop seeing them as obstacles and start seeing them as the training ground for freedom. Instead of reaching for food when life gets hard, we can learn to reach for the One who truly satisfies.
