Salary negotiation is something a lot of people shy away from…and the ones who don’t shy away from it are the ones who get paid what they want to get paid. 

You don’t need to be tenacious or dominant to get paid more. You also don’t need to be a man. Yup, you read that right. Although the wage gap generalization is becoming less and less obvious (as women show up and ask for what they deserve and companies take responsibility for their part in closing the gap), we all still need to learn how to step up, be confident, and ask for what we want out of your job’s salary.
