Candace Rough Surface was an 18 year old Lakota Sioux woman from the Standing Rock Reservation in South Dakota. On August 2nd, 1980, Candace went out for a night on the town, and was never seen alive again.

Her family, including her two year old son, would be left in the dark and waiting for justice for more than 15 years.
