In this episode I connect with now retired Phil Jacobson. Phil served as a paramedic in Manitoba for over a decade. Phil, like many others, didn't understand the changes that he encountered in the moment as his Mental Health began to become impacted by workplace trauma. Phil is now able to look back and speak clearly about the impact that trauma had on his body and mind.
Phil later came to his own realization that in order to heal he had to leave his career. Post retirement Phil now has retrained himself for another career and has begun to grow from his PTSD.
Thank you Phil for not only sharing your incredible story but for your service and sacrifice!
