In our third episode of the second arrow healing heart wounds series, we explore resentment. Based on the Buddhist principle of the second arrow, I will endeavor to equip you with skills and mindset shifts to guide you away from the suffering that arises when you continually beat yourself up after an initial triggering painful (first arrow) event.
What can resentment do FOR you? Why noticing the underlying triggers of this negative emotion can actually be helpful for you, IF you choose. What happens when you don’t allow yourself to feel it? Let’s just say it’s like a ticking time bomb… painful and explosive, eventually someone is going to get hurt, and it’s usually not the person who deserves it!
An exercise to help you move from anger and resentment to a place of love, peace, and self-love.
