Crystal Hammond founded SophisticatedSpender.com and personal finance blog in 2011. For the past 11 years, Crystal has worked as a full-time engineer for the US government. In an effort to explore other interests outside of work, she created a side hustle income challenge. One short month later, her side hustle turned into a full brick-and-mortar business called sip and so old town.
