Recently, I meet more and more people in their 20s who are big fans of socialism but never lived in or visited a socialist country.  They usually don't like what I tell them from what I remember being a kid in former Yugoslavia.
Here's the experience of someone who lived in socialist country (ex-Yugoslavia), transitioning country (Croatia) and capitalist country (Ireland).
