King David wrote during a very unstable time in his life, “But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.” [Psalm 3:3]

We don’t have to wait for circumstances to change in order to be at peace, to have joy, or to be comforted.

When the details surrounding our lives seem to be spinning completely out of our control, we still have a mighty God surrounding us like a shield.

Today, who or what will lift your head? What will you allow to grab your attention... to have your focus...to gain your trust?
