Amelie is an artist and I can’t think of another profession that comes with so many deep seeded stereotypes and beliefs. Amelie opens up about these cultural beliefs that have had her feeling stuck. Stuck and fearful of becoming that starving artist and how she’s had to question those beliefs to move forward and continue to create. We also have a great discussion around experimentation and the guilt that comes with doing an activity for joy rather than for productivity or a desired end goal. Amelie’s path has been anything but conventional and she’s overcome so much to remain true to her artist drive with great lessons along the way.
