In this episode of Double E, Elevating Entrepreneurs, I interview Quincy, who is the right-hand man to the owner of Boton Farms and who personally owns Balcony Box. Boton Farms is an urban farm whose goal is to impact the community with health, wholeness and opportunity, and especially to help those in lower socioeconomic brackets get access to healthier foods. Boton Farms started small in a parking lot and now operates two fully-functioning farms (one with its very own coffee house!) and also sells their produce regularly at The Dallas Farmers Market. You can visit or volunteer at Boton Farms if you would like to be more involved or to get a closer look into the day to day operations. Quincy shows Elizabeth around Boton farms and they interact with the chickens and get to try celery fresh from the soil and plant an onion- listen in to follow them on the tour. Quincy also discusses his business, Balcony Box- customized boxes delivered to your balcony with fresh herbs and plants for your custom garden. In addition to helping run Boton Farms and owning Balcony Box, Quincy also raps and has a song entitled, "Dreamer," that he shares a taste of with you!
