The Goliath Grouper, formerly referred to as the "Jewfish" has been closed for harvest since 1990. Recently the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) approved to open a highly regulated harvest of the Goliath Grouper.Today I am sitting down with my friend Travis Thompson of the Cast and Blast Florida Podcast to discuss this limited harvest season and discuss some reactions of the fishing community.
