Today's guest is Sue Stephenson, a lady full of grace, praise, and kindness.  I met her when she was serving as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. She shares the influence of her family growing up and the feeling of "never being short of anything" despite their economic situation.  She remains helping others, individually and globally.  Her GLASS is FULL and she shares her family philosophy of "you can be the very BEST" at anything." 

Sue is the Founder of Strategies for Service, a consultancy specializing in helping companies develop high-impact solutions that define and elevate their social impact strategies, increase business engagement with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and activate passion amongst their stakeholders for the organization’s purpose.

In 2015, Sue was co-founder the IMPACT2030 Initiative, serving as Interim CEO from July 2017 to January 2020. Anchored by SDG 17, Partnerships for the Goals, this five-year collaboration with the United Nations, social and public sectors, was founded on the belief that when companies join forces and harness the skills, passion and creativity of their employees as a force for good, they can advance the SDGs - and change the world.

From 2000 to March 2016, Sue was a senior executive with The Ritz-Carlton, reporting to the President and COO in two significant roles focused on expanding the company’s “Serve with Purpose” philosophy. While leading The Ritz-Carlton global Human Resources division, she provided strategic direction to strengthen the company’s legendary commitment to employee engagement and service excellence. In her subsequent role, Sue was charged with developing and integrating corporate citizenship strategies into the company’s service culture, business operations, and success metrics.
