This episode was recorded in the aftermath of The Christchurch shooting that took place in New Zealand, but it stands as a larger discussion on Hatred. Why do we hate? What purpose does it serve? Whether it is long, enduring hatred like that found in the Baltics--the kind of religious hatred that is passed down from generation to generation--or competitive animosity like that found between Coke vs. Pepsi, PC vs Mac, or fan clubs of sports teams, it appears that we need an opponent to compete against, or an enemy to protect ourselves from, and by that perverse virtue, pre-emptively attack. While some competitiveness may be acceptable, perhaps we could let go of others, find alternative solutions to hate and seek common ground with our fellow people.
In this episode we are joined once again by our special friend "Cognac"; we hope you enjoy the discussion we had.
