329 Seth Roasts the Chase and Teleports

Session 329: The Cosmic Classroom

Buckle up, because we’re diving into a transcript that is part psychological roast, part interdimensional lecture, and entirely mind-bending. This briefing covers Session 329 of The Early Sessions, Book 7 of the Seth Material, recorded on March 25, 1967. In this session, Seth (channeled through Jane Roberts) decides to get blunt with some guests before projecting himself—literally—into a Boston high school classroom.

The Ultimate Relationship Reality Check

Before getting to the "big picture" stuff, Seth spent some time dismantling the love life of Pat Norelli. If you’ve ever wondered if you’re "chasing" the wrong person for the right reasons, Seth has notes.

  • The Counterfeit Chase: Seth called out Pat’s interest in a man named Brian, labeling it a "counterfeit journey." He noted that Pat was playing the role of the "hunter" not because she actually wanted the "prey," but to avoid the responsibility of her own self-development.
  • The Psychological Mirror: Seth observed: "You fear the aggressive portions of your own personality, and instead of allowing these portions to work for you, you are sending them out on a counterfeit journey after an object... for whom you have little basic respect."
  • Hidden Talents: It wasn't all roasts, though. Seth pegged Pat as having a major talent for writing Tudor-period history and a "no mean talent" for sparking enthusiasm in students.

The High School Lecture: Reality is a Hallucination

Seth then turned his attention to Pat’s class of "exceptional students" in Boston. This wasn't your average "stay in school" speech; it was a manual for existence.

  • The "Last Life" Student: In a chilling moment, Seth identified a specific boy in the third or fourth seat of the left row as being on his "last reincarnation within this system." Imagine sitting in homeroom and being told you’re finally graduating from the entire planet.
  • The Physical Mirage: Seth dropped the bombshell that our world is a construct: "Your physical senses are lovely liars that betray you constantly. They form reality for you, and yet the reality that they form is highly distorted; and what you see, dear friends, does not exist and you do not see what does exist."
  • Thought as Architecture: Seth explained that students aren't just sitting in a classroom; they are subconsciously "forming the physical chairs" and the "blackboard" through telepathic root assumptions. If you don't like the world, Seth says, stop blaming your parents and start checking your own "inner expectations."
  • The Dreaming Self: Seth argued that the self who brushes its teeth is basically a toddler compared to the dreaming self: "You learn more things in a dream than you learn in this classroom... the self that wonders in a dream state is, my dear friends, far more educated than the self that sits in the classroom."

Jane’s Spooky Projection

Jane Roberts reported that this session was one of her most intense. While her physical body was in Elmira, her consciousness was apparently doing a site visit in Boston.

  • Out-of-Body Experience: Jane felt herself viewing the classroom from above, searching for the specific seat Seth mentioned. She described a "great power sweeping" her away, leaving her unable to critically analyze her state until she snapped out of the deep trance.
  • The Voice: During the lecture, Jane’s voice became deeper, louder, and possessed a "funny surging" quality that echoed as if from a long distance.
