33-1 - Transformers: Beast Wars - Season 2: Episodes 3-4
We're back in the Beast Wars! Unfortunately, Tarantulas and Blackarachnia are also back. We’re not happy about it either, but that is how life goes sometimes.
This week on Toonami Absolution, Alyx, Jon, and Sam cover "Coming of the Fuzors (Part 2)" and "Tangled Web.”
"Coming of the Fuzors (Part 2)" picks up with the Maximals badly outnumbered. Rattrap, Cheetor, and Dinobot holding off Megatron's full Predacon force. While they do this, Rhinox decides to go on a psychedelic magical mystery tour in a big to bring back Optimus Primal, but can he do it in time (the answer is year, clearly. Optimus Primial is still in the opening titles after all).
Then "Tangled Web" arrives. Yep, as the name suggests this is almost entirely a Tarantulas and Blackarachnia episode. Megatron assigns the two scheming spider-bots (plus Quickstrike) to build an energon refuelling station, which immediately becomes a vehicle for Tarantulas to plot against Megatron.
Meanwhile Waspinator has another mission, one with a lot less backstabbing (but that’s why we love him).
We discuss how the second season is going, how the Fuzors mixup the group dynamics, and how much Tarantulas is too much Tarantulas. (Spoiler Alert: we may be approaching that limit.)
