On June 3rd, 2026, 33 Jaecoo E5 electric vehicles caught fire at a vehicle storage compound at the Port of Southampton. The vehicles appear to have recently arrived — possibly off one of at least two vehicle carriers that came in from China the day before the fire. They were brand new. Zero miles. More than 30 had already been purchased by customers and were waiting on delivery.
