Deb is a mother of 2, a born and raised Calgarian, graduate of UofC in Geology, cake artist and an entrepreneur. She is the founder of CAKEify Studio, a Calgary startup, and Canada's first interactive DIY cake decorating studio, which hosts events like Paint Nite, but with cake. Deb exited the energy industry in 2016, planned her business in 2017, executed the first steps in 2018 and opened the studio in August 2019.

Deb is a tenacious and entrepreneur who is a key figure in the Calgary business community, and actively works to support and uplift other women in her industry.
