We are honored to share that we had the opportunity to chat with screenwriter Jessica Bendinger! Jessica wrote a few of our fav movies - Stick It, Bring It On, and Aquamarine, to name a few! In this episode, we discuss the state of Hollywood with Jessica (forewarning, there are quite a few explicit words in this episode, because, like, Hollywood freaking sucks right now!!) and we also learn about how some of our favorite movies came to be.
ABOUT JESSICA:
Jessica Bendinger's movies have grossed over $500 million worldwide, and have spawned myriad sequels, TV shows and Jeopardy questions. Her directorial debut STICK IT (starring Jeff Bridges) had the highest per screen average its' opening weekend, and was the #1 download on iTunes for 7 straight weeks. An acclaimed Hollywood screenwriter who launched onto the scene with her original script BRING IT ON (which debuted at #1 in the box office and remained there for two weeks), Jessica was named by Glamour Magazine as one of Hollywood’s Most Powerful Women Under 40. Bendinger was a writer on the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning Season Four of SEX AND THE CITY, credited on the episode entitled, "TIME & PUNISHMENT."
