This episode (33) of The Quest series and #5 of the chapter "Meeting Jesus on the Road," deals with the question of whether the stories of what Jesus said and did evolved over a long period of time; or, whether as Larry Hurtado argued devotion to Jesus exploded into the first century world. In doing so it takes up the question of when the Gospels were actually composed and is careful to make the difference between dating the possible time of composition and the age of copies.
