In today’s episode, Dr. Siohvaughn Funches continues the series, “When You Don’t Understand His Hand, Trust His Heart.” Dr. Funches begins by recapping the previous three messages. It is vital for believers to trust the heart of God, especially in the times when you don’t understand His hand. There will be times when you don’t understand. Sometimes you don’t understand when He’s doing something and sometimes you don’t understand when He doesn’t seem to be doing what you think you need. Those are the moments we fight the good fight of faith. The only way to do that is to know God’s heart; to know Him. God is unconditional love toward us at all times and in all seasons.
Dr. Funches continues with a review of the previous messages starting at John 11:1–16, about Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. If something is important to you, it’s important to God. Dr. Funches discusses how Jesus stayed in the place where He was for two days when he heard that Lazarus was sick. We need to walk by faith, not by sight when we don’t understand what God is doing. He does everything out of love. Dr. Funches continues reading the story at John 11:17–22 and stresses that Martha knew that with God all things are possible. You cannot cast your cares until you first humble yourself. Take God at His word.
Listen in to hear how you can trust in God’s heart as a New Covenant believer of Jesus.
