The writer states, “I have never had a successful relationship, as I’ve usually cheated or looked for something more (outside of my relationships). He mentions his father’s infidelities and wonders if it will take him just as long to get himself together as it took his dad. Should the writer focus on self-love and self-care before trying to love someone new, or can he do both simultaneously? Professor Tee suggests he takes the time he needs to heal and focus on the man he wants to be. CL points out that the writer should recognize that he may be suffering from his own self-inflicted wounds.
