Dipankar is a passionate Data Engineering and Data Science Advocate and a community-focused individual currently working at Dremio. His primary focus is to assist engineering teams in building and scaling robust data platforms using open-source solutions like Apache Iceberg, Apache Arrow & Project Nessie. Dipankar strongly advocates data practitioners about Dremio's Lakehouse platform. Besides, he also led the R&D Advocacy team at Qlik, where he worked on key developer strategies and educated the worldwide developer community in the area of Machine Learning/Visualization. Dipankar has a keen interest in the field of Visual Analytics research, and his latest work was on Explainability of Ensemble Models using multidimensional projection techniques. Being exposed to different roles in the past, some of his key projects include implementing visualization solutions, developing production-ready supervised & unsupervised Machine Learning algorithms, evaluation and deployment of Visual Analytics solutions, and explaining ML algorithms. Dipankar believes in prioritizing core concepts and focusing on business problems over technology, and he has vast experience in incorporating open Lakehouse architecture into data warehousing.
