Bayard Rustin was a gay civil rights activist and non-violent resistance practitioner. He was an influential team member of the Martin Luther King Jr. cohort, and the Civil Rights Movement in the United States. His sexuality led to him being less celebrated than his counterparts and not as known even though he was very deserving of many accolades. Rustin deserves so much recognition for his work towards equity and justice.

Netflix is supposed to distribute a biopic about his life. I will be tuning in!
