Mickey Hughes inflicts many forms of horrific abuse upon his wife, Francine, and their 4 children in the 1960-70s. After 13 years of ferocious battering, their relationship finally bursts into flames. Francine's case sparks a movement across the US, resulting in amended laws and improved resources to support victims of domestic violence.
