Suffering is one of those words we’d rather avoid—but it’s also one of the places God does His deepest work. When we go through suffering, our natural instinct is to run, escape, or numb the pain. For many of us, food has been that escape. But God invites us into something different: endurance.
Today we’ll unpack what it looks like to endure suffering God’s way—not by gritting our teeth, but by leaning into His presence. We’ll talk about the difference between simply “getting through” pain and actually allowing it to shape our character and strengthen our faith.
Endurance isn’t easy, but it’s powerful. It produces resilience, it renews our hope, and it teaches us that even in the hardest seasons, God is faithful. And when we learn to endure with Him, food loses its grip as our go-to comfort.
