In today’s episode we are joined by the amazing Diana Githwe. Diana is Cristina’s friend from university and is now a PhD candidate at the Newcastle University. As well as pursuing her doctorate in the field of microbiology, she has a blog called “An Abundance of Melanin.” Her blog focuses on social issues, science, lifestyle, travel and so much more. She joins us on the podcast to talk about her experience moving away from home to a new city, her field of research, being a black woman in STEM, racial issues and her long distance relationship.
