Surround yourself with people who are better than you. We  are who we surround ourselves with. If you spend all your time with  people who don’t try to get the best out of life, you’ll start to  gravitate towards their level. The best way to be a high achiever is to  surround yourself with people who are doing better than you, people who  push you, people who don’t accept being average.

-
This means  losing “friends” and distancing yourself from family, it’s not going to  be fun INITIALLY but it’s essential. You may try to justify not leaving  your “friends” and family because you don’t have many and losing them  would take a bigger toll on you than staying with them. I beg to differ  but try this out- become the high achiever. You set the example and show  others that they can be more. That’s what leaders do and those  “friends” or family members that see you being more than average, will  hopefully want to be better to. And if they don’t, fuck ‘em. Those  aren’t real friends. When you start to create a better you, better  people gravitate towards you and enter your life. That’s why initially  losing those “friends” will be difficult but in the long run you’ll gain  actual friends who only want the best out of you.
-
It’s not  healthy to be around those people anyways! They’re negative,  pessimistic, and don’t want anything good in life. Those people are  tornadoes and they will take out anything in their path. They will ruin  your life just to feel better about theirs. You can’t help those people.  That’s something that NO ONE BUT THEMSELVES CAN FIX. You can’t change  people but you can lead by example. LEAD BY EXAMPLE. Be the reason  people change. Never stop! Consistency wins.
-
Good luck and I wish you all the best.
