34. How Home Automation Makes Taking Care of Homes Easier for Disabled People

The term ‘home automation was coined in the automobile industry about 1940, to describe the increased use of automatic devices and controls in mechanised production lines. Like many other things, it has continued to grow since the 1990s and the 2000s, and while the creators of some films that have premiered in the last 40 years didn’t get everything right, some noticeable films that have came out which feature home automation include the likes of ‘Back to the Future 2’ and ‘Despicable Me’.

In this episode, I summarise the ways home automation makes it easier to complete day to day activities.
