In today’s political situation the last thing that comes to the fore in public discussions is the concept of neutrality. As if that thing itself and its legacy ceased to exist long ago. In spite of all this climate of enforced campism and deepening confrontation we must think about alternatives.
That is why I discuss the question of neutrality and its usefulness in contemporary international politics with Pascal Lottaz, an Associate Professor at Kyoto University (Japan) working on the question of neutrality in international relations. Our point of departure is his latest article Third-Party Actor Models: Towards a Theory of Neutrality (https://pascallottaz.substack.com/p/third-party-actor-models-toward-a).
I strongly recommend to follow his podcast Neutrality Studies -
