343 Reality Is Action Experiencing Itself

Session 343 Cosmic Deep-Dive: Action, Thoughts, and Reincarnation

Recorded May 22, 1967

Welcome to the cosmic lounge, where the walls of reality are a bit thinner and the insights are a lot heavier. Grab a drink, kick back, and let’s look at how the universe is basically one giant, electromagnetic "Choose Your Own Adventure" book.

The Big Picture: Action is Everything

Seth starts off by reminding us that what we see is just the tip of the iceberg. Imagine reality as a Russian nesting doll, but with more electricity and fewer wooden figurines.

  • Action Experiencing Itself: Everything—and we mean everything—is composed of "moment points" of action. Action doesn't just happen; it builds on itself and forms its own experience.
  • The Invisibility of Reality: You can’t find a "first" action because action is a continuous loop. It’s the perceiver, the thing being seen, and the act of seeing all rolled into one.
  • Universes Within Universes: Our physical world is just a tiny slice of the pie. Seth notes: "What you see and experience physically represents but a small portion, a mere fraction of what reality is."
  • No Such Thing as a Stop Button: You can't stop action. Even trying to stop it is, ironically, an action. This includes death, which isn't the end of the show; it’s just the self becoming more active and using its resources to even greater advantage.

Your Brain is a 3D Printer

If you think your thoughts are just fleeting whispers in your head, think again. In this session, Seth clarifies that thoughts are much more "solid" than we give them credit for.

  • The Anatomy of a Thought: Thoughts have color, shape, electromagnetic structure, and intensity. They are the blueprints for your physical image.
  • Automatic Creation: We form the shape of our thoughts as naturally as we breathe, and once they’re out there, they have a life of their own.
  • The Universe as a Single Thought: Our entire physical universe is described as one "moment point" or "one thought in changing aspects of becoming, with all possibilities inherent within the thought unfolding into existence."
  • Inner Senses: To see beyond the "camouflage" of our physical system, we have to use our inner senses. The inner self knows it’s the one pulling the strings and projecting these actions outward.

The Self and its Probable Cousins

Seth touches on the "who am I?" question with a chillingly cool perspective on reincarnation.

  • Probable Selves: Reincarnated selves are essentially just "probable selves" choosing to experience different forms. It’s all subjective, and experience is the only reality that matters.
  • Stretching Time: It’s possible to get so wrapped up in a single moment point that it feels like it lasts for several reincarnations. Talk about a long afternoon.

Pro-Tips for Ruburt (and the Rest of Us)

The session wraps up with some surprisingly practical advice for Jane Roberts (referred to as Ruburt) regarding her health and personal growth.

  • Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Helping with pendulum sessions and working together toward "restoration of the image" provides a psychic advantage.
  • Visualize the Hustle: Seth suggests seeing oneself in flexible forms: "running, jumping or dancing."
  • Garden Therapy: To handle aggressive feelings, Seth recommends a creative outlet—specifically, starting a garden.
  • Honesty is Key: Complete honesty of feelings is essential to prevent "aggressive feelings" from leaking out in weird ways (like swearing when drinking).
