The Apostle Paul’s call in Romans 13 for believers to “walk honestly” in light of the nearness of Christ’s return is the focus of this episode. “Knowing the time”—the current dispensation of grace—Paul urges the Church to “awake out of sleep” from spiritual lethargy and complacency, cast off the works of darkness, and “put on the armour of light” by daily “put[ting] on the Lord Jesus Christ.” This produces a consistent, Christ-honoring walk as children of light, as we are motivated by the brevity of our opportunity in this age to live purposefully for eternity before the Rapture brings it to a close.
