35 | ‘A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT’, SKATEBOARDING VAMPIRES, & KILLER DEBUTS

Listen Later

‘A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night’ (2014) is one hell of a title for one hell of a debut feature film. That evocative title perfectly sets up this moody, beautiful Iranian vampire western featuring, among other things, Persian James Dean, the coolest classic car you’ll see all week, deliciously shot black and white compositions, and one of the most unique vampires set to film. This movie wears its influences on its black and white striped sleeve and we think Nosferatu himself would be proud of the work that went into making such an incredible piece of cinema. We’re gushing, yes, but you will be too after getting bitten by this movie.
