Charles Githler is an entrepreneur with a successful career focused on Finance, Economics and Real Estate Development.  In this conversation with Charles, we discuss his early days in finance, as a founder of the event series and company that became MoneyShow in 1978, which has become the largest trade show production company for self-directed investors.  Charles also began his career in real estate development in 1978 with his first condo project on Bradenton Beach.  From there Charles began developing larger projects, some very iconic in Sarasota's skyline such as The Sarasota Bay Club, Beau Ciel and Hyatt Downtown.  This conversation covers Charles' ideas about trends in De-urbanization and how that will affect Sarasota and surrounding areas as well as the legislative changes expected to occur as a result of the Surfside condominium collapse and subsequent opportunities for developers seeking “in fill” demo and redevelopment projects.  Charles shares his perspective on the attributes necessary to succeed as an investor with some guidance for young real estate professionals seeking guidance where to begin.
