In this episode, Claire and Natasha look at our roles as celebrants. Although traditionally, celebrants peg themselves as wedding, funeral and baby-naming celebrants, we are in fact first and foremost celebrants. This means we have so much scope to define and refine our offerings to whatever it is we choose to do. Not what we think we must do. From their own experiences, Claire and Natasha discuss why they don't do baby namings, and for Natasha, funerals, and how they have refined their own roles to include the things they love to do and importantly, don't like doing. They also look at celebrants' wider working practices and how it's within our own power to shape and define how we work as celebrants to be as fluid and functional as possible.
