Meet the mantis shrimp; a 2-7 inch crustacean capable of creating temperatures near that of the sun’s surface by the flick of their wrists. A group of scientists from numerous institutions have been investigating this curious sea dweller to understand how the mechanics of this phenomena work and how we can replicate it to be utilized in different applications.

(13:15) - Collagen For Biohybrid Robots: 
Is the renowned HBO original Westworld the first thing that pops into your mind when you hear “biohybrid robots”? Well, us too! However, a research team from Carnegie Mellon University wants to change that by developing robotic systems composed of biological matter so that underwater explorations or search and rescue missions don’t damage the ecosystem in which they operate.
