35 - The Texarkana Moonlight Murders
We're back to our normal horror filled schedule this week and Blake is joining Anastasia as a guest for this one! In Texas, there's a little town that hugs the line between Texas and Arkansas. Nicknamed "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" for a string of unsolved murders, the small town of Texarkana stars in our story. (And also a horror film by the same name) In 1946, a sadistic killer wearing a white mask/sack terrorized the small town of Texarkana at night. Claiming 5 of his 8 victims, this small town lived in terror for 10 long weeks. Police patrolled the "lover's lanes" and began a manhunt for the killer. Now, 70 years later, the case is still the number one unsolved case in Texas.
