Oualid Mouaness is a Lebanese filmmaker and producer with an extensive background in documentaries and music videos. His first feature film as writer-director is 1982, a coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of the Lebanon War. Starring many non-professional actors as the school children, as well as Lebanese superstar Nadine Labacki as their teacher Miss Yasmine, 1982 is a tale of innocence disappearing. IT is out now.
