36-40 How we crossed the grassland and find others, we see large round shapes, at first wondering if this was a great beast.

Not moving at our approach, we go inside. dwellings like a turtle shell, we see a hole on top for smoke. We hasten away.  Some people are friendlier than others.  We hear thunder on the earth!  Some fall to earth: Earthquake!  Some run: large herds running!  

Coming over the horizon, we see walk to legs.  Underneath is a Great Beast with a strong head and hooves that thunder on the earth.  

These were an angry people, they come among us with great strength. We must leave; we want to leave!  Some of our young are killed.  Snow on Top defends herself and they respect her.  We walk on.

We meet other people living in skin round houses.  These people walked on their own two feet.  These were not an angry people, these were a sharing people, and shared which was safe to eat among the grasses.
