Host, Taylor Stern, is joined by her parents, Jonathan and Lesly, as they reflect on their memories of September 11, 2001 as we commemorate the 20 years that have passed since. Jonathan, a commercial airline pilot, shares his unique experience as he was supposed to fly into Newark that fateful day and what happened next from a pilot and father's perspective. Lesly, a high school history teacher, explains what it was like being a mother and wife while also using historical references to process the evil we saw displayed. They look at the lessons we've learned since and how we have found ways to come together to thrive in this darkness.
