36. The Importance of Being a Beginner & Business Lessons From Taking a Heels Class

Listen Later

I decided to take a heels class. I think you can tell just from the first sentence that today's podcast episode will be different from other episodes, but I promise you it will all make sense in the end. I see many Latina therapists who have been putting off starting their coaching business or introducing coaching to their business model because they are afraid, feel intimidated, or get stuck in a comparison game.

But here is what I want you to know: everyone that you are inspired by, started not knowing, started even when they felt doubt, started even if they were embarrassed, started even when they wondered what people would think. The beginning of your entrepreneurship journey can feel messy and so uncomfortable. It test's you in so many ways. But being willing to be a beginner is what can help you create everything you've ever wanted.

In this week's episode, we talk about the willingness to be a beginner. I share how I stepped out of my comfort zone and did something that I had been putting off for years due to fear of being a beginner, and how it relates to your first years in business. I share my advice if you're struggling with comparison & Lessons I learned from taking the heels class. Join me as I share my experience, how I almost backed out of the first class, embarrassing moments, and what surprising realizations I had during the process. Lista? Let's get into today's episode!

In this episode, I chat about:

  • Business Lessons I learned from taking the class

  • Why I decided to sign up for the class

  • Comparison advice

  • Embarrassing moments that turned into life lessons

  • The importance of being willing to be a beginner
