Everyone wants to live a safe life right?  

In the firearms community folks tend to purchase a gun, head to the range and then call it good.  Some folks that are a bit more dedicated get their permit and some actually get real defensive handgun training.  But the question we really need to be asking our selves is, does any of that really make us safer?

Safety is an interesting topic.  Why?  Probably because the majority of people are happy just FEELING safer.

Let me say that again.  They aren’t worried abut actually being safer, instead they are content with just feeling like they are safer.  Those same folks often take actions that might be headed in the right direction toward true safety, but they fail to follow through on actually increasing their safety.

This dude cannot abide.

Safety is critical to life.  If we don’t actually increase our safety we are relying on luck and hope to keep us around.

Call me a control freak, but I actually want to survive to be an old man.  So, today we will take a look at some simple things you can do to really be safer.
