Continuing Animation Month, we watched the 2023 Japanese animated film The Boy and the Heron. Written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, it follows a boy who moves to the countryside after his mother's death, discovers an abandoned tower near his new home, and enters a fantastical world with a talking grey heron. The American voice cast includes Robert Pattinson, Karen Fukuhara, Gemma Chan, Christian Bale, Florence Pugh, Willem DeFoe, Dave Bautista and Mark Hamill. Come join us!!!
