There’s value in a job well done. Think of the difference between a reward earned after some hard work and one you’ve treated yourself to. We value the things we’ve worked towards, but we can often “cheat” our way to the same goal – but doing so isn’t truly satisfying. It’s a lesson everyone, at any level of an organization, needs to learn on their own.
