This book outlines her simple, research-backed tool that helped Mel turn her own life around and help millions of people improve everything from careers and romantic relationships to tackling addictions and building better habits – one small decision at a time. 

There’s a five-second moment of hesitation that defines your life, when we start thinking about what we need to do, instead of doing what we need to do, and this book teaches a remarkably simple tool to not let those five seconds take control of your life. We chat about embracing everyday courage, distinguishing feelings from fact, making ‘heart-first’ decisions, and overcoming our brains’ instinct to let self-doubt and fear creep in.
