About Scott Irwin:
Dr Scott Irwin is a transpersonal and integration psychologist who runs a retreat centre in Ecuador in collaboration with the Sacha Wasi community. About 30 minutes from Puyo, Ecuador, the Sacha Wasi settlement is situated between two rivers in the centre of the Amazon Rainforest. Dr Scott Irwin was instrumental in aiding in the construction of the new Sacha Wasi Tribal Learning Centre, a school for both children and adults serving the local community as well as neighbouring tribal groups, in an effort to improve the quality of life for the residents of the Sacha Wasi community.
He previously served as senior minister at the Soul Quest Ayahuasca Church of Mother Earth. Dr Scott Irwin places special emphasis on combining complementary and alternative medicine with transpersonal psychology, which includes Holotropic-style breathwork and the use of ancient plant medicines like ayahuasca. Over the course of two decades, he worked as a public health professional with more than 25,000 patients.
He is devoted to assisting his patients in undergoing profound inner development in order to live an ideal life.
Dr Scott Irwin has been featured in the popular Netflix documentary [UN] Well in season 1 episode 5. The program follows Angela Murray as she undergoes her second ayahuasca experience during a retreat at the Soul Quest Ayahuasca Church in Orlando, Florida. The program changes course and travels to Peru, where it follows some native tribes and their use of hallucinogens.
