Staying positive when you get turned down or told “no” can be a challenge! All of us entrepreneurs, leaders, and people who are doing more with our lives sometimes run into a “no” or get turned down, but if you’re going to do great things, you need to be willing to put yourself out there!
Sometimes time is enough to turn a “no” into a “yes” (you’ll hear an amazing story explaining this in today’s episode, so tune in!). But keep in mind that a “no” now doesn’t necessarily mean a “yes” later. That’s why it’s so important that you have multiple streams of revenue and don’t count on just one source for your income.
Now, back to being positive! If (when) you get told “no,” don’t wallow in it and sulk. If you need to, spend five minutes feeling sorry for yourself, but definitely don’t give yourself a full day. Get back up again, get back out there, and keep going after it! If you need to keep thinking about it, do so by focusing on what you can learn from the experience to help you do better next time.
Being told “no” is sometimes because the other person really can’t afford it, but more often that we need to refine and perfect our sales process. Tune into this episode to learn more about this, and why sometimes hearing “no” is so important!
