Some things are meant to be around forever because they set the bar high for all of us to follow.
What follows in this advert is a story of today, led by the driver Sebastian Vettel, who is the driver of the Ferrari LaFerrari.
But in that today, you see reflections of the past throughout the advert, you have to watch carefully to see all of them, the cars that is.
To retain customers, and gather new customers, Ferrari uses this advert to hint at their history, "you're not buying today's car, you buying a lifetime with Ferrari".
So whilst some businesses retain their customers by telling stories about the future, some retain customers by telling stories about the past, and few tell both.
What were learning though our studies of long-standing brands is advancement always hangs within a reference to the past.
