In the early 18th century, a Scottish Earl languishes in an English cell, in one of the most formidable prisons in the country. The man has been condemned to die a traitor’s death, and his wife travels south to see her husband in prison one last time. However, the following morning and the Earl is gone, vanished, even though the women who entered his cell were also seen exiting it, and were carrying nothing with them. But could the answer to the Earl’s disappearance lie in one of the cloaks the women were wearing? Might it not have been an ordinary cloak at all but a cloak… of invisibility? Join Barry and Lora as they unravel the story of the infamous Nithsdale Cloak.
