Two Librarians Walk Into a Shelf

37 - Two books and a movie

Listen Later

This week, Michelle and Rob discuss two new nonfiction titles they enjoyed, and discuss a movie. Michelle read "Veritas: a Harvard professor, a con man, and the Gospel of Jesus's Wife" by Ariel Sabar - a nonfiction about a possibly forged piece of papyrus and the man who probably created it that read like an Indiana Jones movie. Rob read "EC Comics: race, shock, and social protest" by Quiana Whitted - a nonfiction about the social messages found in EC Comics in the 1950's. Then, they discuss Wonder Woman: 1984, the good, the bad and the too much of it all.

Media mentioned in this episode:

EC Comics: race, shock, and social protest by Quiana Whitted

Vertias: a harvard professor, a con man, and the Gospel of Jesus's Wife by Ariel Sabar
